Oil painting has a very simple process even more than painting in watercolor. Try, if you can see something, you can paint it in oils. This is not a joke. However, you need to follow these tips:

1. Have a painting as a reference
2. Draw a sketch of your original idea
3. Test colors in their different shades
4. Prepare your canvas
5. Use varnish to cover the painting
6. Don't dry your oil paintings in the dark. This might cause a thin film of oil to rise to the surface.
7. If you want to clean away a layer of oil paint, use alcohol, which is a potent solvent.
